Supposedly their new drill line was designed/engineered by a former Dewalt employee.
That’s interesting since they’re actively copying the design look and flair of the Dewalt into their new Hercules line.
This looks like a promising review—the reviewer seems to know what he’s talking about:
Excellent review- I've been around electronics & tools my whole life, I know, at least intellectually, everything he's talking about (excepting the plastics stuff) but it's a real object lesson to me that general knowledge does not equal expertise, I learned a *LOT* watching this.
I like that guy. More solid knowledge than a lot of you-tube bloviators. "Keep your D*** in a vise.."
Let's take it "a-part"
Sounds Canadian... Now wonder Howard likes it.
Odd, didn't sound canadian at all to me-
Great review "bout" how drills are constructed. I too learned a lot.
Pretty interesting review. I would say the materials revolution (rare-earth magnets Rare-earth magnet - Wikipedia ) - quite a recent development, ca 1970-1980 - that makes these drills possible. I liked the analysis of materials and construction.
