I bought a '62 CJ5 with a a '95 4.3 engine in it. It had no wires in the jeep and the engine computer wires had a lot cut and the rest just coiled up. It has taken me long time to get the wiring straightened out.

    Just got it started today.

The computer wires are 2-3 feet longer than I need them to be. Has anyone cut and spliced all of these wires?

Is it worth the effort? Or Just coil them up and let them be?

    thanks

if you shorten them solder the connections and heat shrink the wire, corrosion in the splices will screw up the ecm.
