Well, the fuel tank sending unit and my dad's Jeep is rusted beyond belief, we need a replacement. Where can I get a good quality one, not some Chinese piece of junk? This is a 69 CJ5 with a V6, under seat tank, with the two fuel lines in the sending unit.

MTS is a good bet. I expect you won't have any control over source ... I would reuse the sender, even if it looks terrible. Electrical performance is the main metric for acceptance. Pretty sure there's no V6-style tank with the lock ring and two-hole sender available other than the MTS plastic tank. MTS COMPANY, L.C. - Jeep CJ/YJ Gas Tanks Call them and ask who is retailing their tanks.

We don't need a tank (I think) just the sender.

Use your multimeter and test it. You can buy the gasket and float if needed.

Just edited mine above... MTS is what I bought for the rear tank on my '69 (PO added).

Sender fits good and comes with new lock ring and a flat-seal rather than o-ring. Seal they supply did not fit good (I could not get lock-ring secured, too thick in total) so I got a different o-ring that's fuel happy, but otherwise happy with it. have not put fuel in tank yet.

I got one from Walck's. It has a brass float. Make sure it comes with o-ring and locking ring, the first one I ordered, did not come with those parts. Have not used mine yet, do not know if there are any problems.
