OK, so the YJ stopped running. I first think its the fuel pump, since I squirt some starter fluid into the throttle body, and then the engine will run. I replace the fuel pump, filter, and fuel pump sock. Same results, I got no pressure at the Schrader valve on the fuel rail. (it's a '92 2.5 ltrt MPFI). So I blow out all the fuel lines with compressed air from the pump to the fuel rail. I check all the electrical wiring going back to the fuel pump, all is good, no breaks in the wiring and good conductivity. I check all the fuel lines, no blockages. I pull the pump again, and check to see if its coming on, and it does. But same issue, it won't run, and no fuel is getting to the fuel rail / injectors. Next I check the fuel pump as the engine is cranking, while it comes on, there is very little to no pressure coming out of the pump. On the inlet it chould suck my finger in, and it should blow off my finger on the outler. Afterall this thing is supposed to have 45 psi. So, my guess is the new pump is no good. I did check the old pump, and it doesn't even come on when the engine cranks, so the old pump is definitely bad. Anyone voting with me on the new pump being bad also? Or am I missing something?
