You can go to TireRack and pick sizes to look at the recommended wheel width. BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2

Looks like the mfrs are recommending a 6" minimum width for the 235/75R15. You can go with a 215/75R15 which specs a 5.5" minimum rim size. Or you can go taller for the same width, if they are available - something like a 235/85R15. TireRack does not show any, but they probably exist in some brand.

    Thank you :)
Searched a while to find a tread pattern I liked. These ride nice on the road too.

Since I do not have the original rims I have no clue to what the stock back spacing should be. I read that the Renegade 1 had 8 inch rims. I figure the Renegade II should also have 8 inch rims. Hope not to hijack this thread, but perhaps if someone knows it could be part of it. If not I will start a new thread.

It really is no trouble having stock steelies and 235/75/15s. I had 33/10.50-15s on some Scout 15x6 steelies and they were a bit rounded but no treadwear issues. I changed out recently to 15x8 white wagons as I was having some rubbing on the inner rear fenders and springs from sidewall bulge. As far as 15 being a hard size to get, I've had no issues at all. If your tire guy tries to tell you otherwise, buy them online.

Thanks for all of your input! I ended up with the BFG all-terrain ko2s in 235/75/15. They look great but I am going to have to get the rims cleaned up, sand blasted, and either painted or powder coated. I am vacillating between what would have been a factory "offwhite?" or going with black to match the scheme it will eventually be. While I guess I could reasonably get the jeep back to original shape and restore it, I want to go a different direction with it. Once I get the photos loaded to photobucket, I'll post them.
