.While cleaning out some shelves I found the f-head I tore down quite a while ago.
Block was cracked, so I pulled the crank, cam, valves, head etc off it before I junked it.
Any idea on value of these parts? For discussion, consider them as good cores.
As they are heavy, shipping is not always practical and can even exceed the value?
What are they worth? What's a core worth?

When I bought my M100, the guy let me tear apart an fhead out of a military stationary unit he had (generator maybe)- head, cam etc. I anticipate I'll end up giving them away or scrapping. I got them for free- just in case I needed something for my fhead in the A1- but simply don't plan on getting a dime for the parts. I'll likely never use them as the engine I have is running well and if it goes, a Chevy 153 will replace it.

It's all about if someone needs the part and can't find it, what it is worth. I keep things for myself, but will help a member if I can.

What Rick said. I hate to see good parts get scrapped but, you can only keep so much stuff laying around to trip over or take up shelf space. And if it's available new somewhere, 9 out of 10 people will likely buy the new part rather than put labor and money into refurbishing the old stuff. I'm the 10th guy and most of us are cheap skates.......which is why we won't buy the new parts. I'd hang onto the parts if you think you may use them someday. If I was going to sell them, I'd ask myself what I would be willing to pay for them and THAT would be my asking price.

I doubt any of those parts are available new anywhere but, I have not looked.

My original reasoning was to keep them in case I ever blew up the f-head. If that happens now I'll probably give it a heart transplant, maybe a GM 151 or 4.3.
I see a new crank listed for $450, A good core should be worth north of $50?
