Serviced the wifes 93 Escort last weekend and noticed the electric fan. Noticed that it seemed similar in size the radiator in the Jeep. Sure enough, according to some rough measurements, I think it would work quite well. The Escort shroud would encompass the entire Jeep radiator, not just part of it like so many aftermarket units. No need to make a shroud. What do ya'll think ?
Now if I can get the Mrs. to make the sacrifice. :D

i dont know much about the escort fan but i know the 3.8L ford tarus( however you spell it) has the ideal fan it fits a jeep and it "flows" a ton of air. just it draws something like 38amps IIRC.

Interesting Jeff. My bro in law starts at a Ford dealership next Monday at the parts counter. Hmmm. Might have a research project for him straight away.

Dave, lots of Taurus fan info over at the JU CJ forum. Do a search during non-peak hours and you'll find a ton of info.
As said, it has a big current draw... more than the output of the stock V6 Motorola!!
