How close is the wheel hub off a Dana 27 to that off a Dana 30?
I’ve recently purchased a set of knuckles off a Dana 27 and they were sent to me with spindles, wheel hubs, bearings, brake dust cover, yada yada. Basically everything except the brake drum and manual lockouts.
My rear Dana 44 has been converted to full floater by using Dana 30 spindles and hubs but one of these hubs has a broken bolt, with two broken “E-Z Outs” stuck in it. If my spare Dana 27 hubs will fit my rear Dana 30 spindles, I’ll replace this one with one of my spares. So how close are they? Anyone know, or know where I could find out?

I think they should fit. I did my D44 full floater with D27/D30 hubs. Later D30 with disks were different but you have the drummed version. Take a look, should be OK.

I looked into this a while back and if I remember correctly, the hubs were identical except for the seat depth of the inner bearing. The 30 bearing sits in a little more but is a slightly wider bearing. So the only thing is that you need to make sure is that you use a 27 bearing in a 27 hub and a 30 bearing in a 30 hub. Other than that you're good to go.
I swapped out a 25 hub for a 30 on my 57 pickup. but I also kept the 27 hubs on my front disks on my CJ5.

Thanks for the input guys I appreciate it.
If it’ll cool off long enough for me to stand work’n in the garage for more than 5 minutes at a time, I’ll let ya know how it goes. ;)

Didn't know it got hot in Kansas! - It's about 103 here today, and no breeze. Re: the "E-Z Outs" - I've tried them a number of times over the years, and olly found them useful after the stuck fastener was 90% drilled out. Otherwise, they just seem to break off. The best way I've found to pull a broken bolt or stud is to buzz-weld the inside of a nut to the broken stub. The heat loosens the stuck bolt, and the nut gives you something solid to grab onto. Maybe you can save that hub.

It’s not the heat, high 90’s, as much as the humidity, around 90% or just shy of fall’n from the sky. ;)

I’ve thought of that, but the bolt is broken off a little ways in there, it’d be hard to weld anything to it, and now that I’ve got two chunks of tool steel stuck in the middle of it I can’t get a bite with a drill bit.
This hub may become a small boat anchor. ;)
