    Hey ya'll.

I have a Dana 25 front axle on my 52 M38A1 Willy's ORIGINAL. I have purchased a Dana 30 NT off a 79 with disk brakes that is overall stronger. Now i'm wondering what a Dana 25 goes for recently. The only work i've done to the axle is had to replace the shafts with Dana 27 shafts which i spent 100 bucks on. Other than that it has everything original and stock which is:

5:38 Ring and Pinion gears OPEN DIFF
I THINK 8" drum brakes (size might be incorrect)
SUA and SOA 2" spring pad setup
and 10 spline Dana 27 shafts (which are practically the same as a Dana 25) and i replaced most of the brake lines (the ones that go across the axle) and extended goodrich stainless steel brake lines that go up to the frame)

Tell me what ya'll think i could get for it, i was thinking maybe 125 but i might be a little high, even though it is in good condition i doubt there is much of a market for them anymore. If not, it will get parted and chopped.

    Alex

9" Drums. Those are bad enough without being 8" R) ;)

Didja check E-bay yet for prices?

These axles are pretty common but if you find someone in your area in need...

I'd suggest yanking the axle shafts and selling them independently of the D25. That's where the $$ is in the axle, and you can even ship those country-wide. IMO it's your best chance of recouping your investment.

Shipping is what kills any profit in selling a whole axle. That, and the fact that everyone who 'starts' to build a rock/mud crawler seems to immediately discard the 25/27 axle. They're far from rare.

I'm with Hippo on this one, sorry.

like said above, part it out for max profit potential
I have 4 housings lying around right now; 2 D25s and 2 D27s; not worth much unless someone bent one
