I am currently changing out my T86 trans due to a broke 1st gear. It i getting the T90 guts in it so i don't have to do major changes to the jeep. I have always had trouble with getting enough throw in the movement of the clutch. I have had the jeep for over 20 yrs and when it got it, it had been worked on by someone who should not have been allowed to have tools!!mehh
Since i had it apart i thought i would see if someone could verify if the parts i have are for a V6.

I know this stuff has seen better days. I seen where the 4cyl jeep linkage is available is is the same?? Or does someone have some good used parts or have recommendations on where to get some??

Also i was curious if the Diaphragm pressure plate for the Clutch for the jeeps are this flat in a normal state?? Most of the ones that i have used in the past are at more of an angle. The clutch is 10.4" and when i layed the clutch on the pressure plate it would compress the pressure plate by aprox 0.1"

I would recommend replacing the outer pivot ball mounts and I would guess the tube is worn too. You would be amazed how much easier the pedal will feel and work, probably get some more travel out if it too. There is very little distance between the pressure plate, disk, and flywheel, so any play you have in the linkage affects how well the clutch operates.

Thanks for the help. I digging around last night and found that 'crown' makes a replacement bell crank now just have to locate the correct ball mounts for the ends.
