Seems I remember seeing somewhere that the clutch/ brake pedal cross shaft support bracket for the A1 is/ was bushed, where the CJ units are not. Anyone know?

<edit> I know the CJ brackets are not bushed....

    Thanks Howard!
Looks to me like for the A1, it shows a "bearing" ("FF") on the shaft, and none shown on the CJ....

Yup, you're right. I did a bit more digging, the shaft is the same p/n for both military & civvy but the frame bracket is different-

    Illus.......Mfr. part #...... Ord. part #..Description ...................................................Qty.

02-2.......WO-801664......7372840......BEARING, PLAIN, SLEEVE, shaft retainer bracket...2

    ..............WO-801663.....8673316......BRACKET, shaft retainer ....................................1

    12-7........WO-801662.....7697452......BRACKET, shaft retainer, w/BUSHING, assy...........1

Googling the p/ns comes up with hits from a number of suppliers.

Awesome! Thanks Howard. You did the footwork for me.;)

Now, the question is, will the bushings last very long, should I get spare bushings?
Or, should I just get the non bushed bracket for less $.
The one that's in there isn't *that* bad, and it's lasted 42 years, and 98K miles...
I wish there was a brake pedal arm with a bushing....
