    I'v heard many opinions on this subject and i'm still rather confused. I will be flat towing my 73 from tulsa to dallas. This is what i plan on doing so far: disconnect drive shaft and unlock the steering wheel. This is what i need clarification on: does the tcase need to be in neutral and if so do the front hubs need to locked or unlocked?

    If you remove the rear driveshaft and unlock the hubs, it won't matter what gear you're in, since the axles will not be connected to the rest of the drivetrain.
