I have a 1964 cj6 that I am going to start working on. How much lift has everyone added to their cj6. I am debating between 1" or 2.5". I want to keep it mostly stock looking, but with the added 20" of length what lift and wheel combanation looks good?

I know it a personal choice, just looking for everyones input.

SSDutch has stock springs on the back with extended shackles, replacement springs on front that look to be ~1" lift or so.

Tires are 32" on 7' wheels.

IMHO a bit taller with 33"s would look good too - but personally wouldn't go taller.

    Thanks for the photo's.

The look I am going for will probably end up with a 1" lift with either 31 or 32 tires. I really like the look of the red jeep in the web site logo. I may try 1" lift with original 16" rims and tires.

    Thanks.

I went 2 or 2.5, and like the looks with 31s, but have not driven yet. It was cheaper when I bought the National tire and wheel suspension special (which was a superlift). Also I figure the 6 needs the clearance with long wheelbase/more weight.

I will try to post pics tomorrow, or if you do a search, I installed last summer and posted pics then. Search by my username.

I would go 2.5 on 32's or 33's. Both look good, I lean more to 32's. Boyink's 6 has a great stock look yet almost a beefy military look.

I have 32's on one Jeep, 33's on another -- and 31's on the 3rd? *scratches head*
