Hello! I’m not sure if this is the right place to post this so sorry about that. I have been working on getting my grandfathers 1965 CJ-5 running again, but I’ve run into a wall. I was told that I have to line up the marks on the camshaft wheel thing to some other mark before I put the belt on, but I can’t find the mark anywhere. Is there a way to get the timing right without taking the whole thing back apart? I’m new to the scene and don’t know what everything is called so I hope this isn’t too confusing. Thank you!

    Moved to correct forum.

A '65 engine should have timing gears that mesh, not a belt or chain. Can you post a pic of the engine?

Also, if you don't have one get a copy of the factory service manual (FSM), available from here & many other sources.
