C Clips And Limited Slip Differential

    I am looking into a limited slip rear differential. I am being told many of them do not work with c clips and one needs to swap axles also. I have not taking apart my 1971 rear axle yet, and would rather get the right part before breaking it down. So the question is does the stock Dana 44 use c clips? And if so is there any limited slip differentials that are designed for c clips style axles?

    The 44 in your 71 doesn't use c-clips.
    AFAIK, the only Dana 44 that ever used c-clips was the aluminum-housed 44 in grand cherokees.
