I was searching through some threads and see some folks stated they left one of the brake switches unplugged. I am diagnosing my brake lights and just wanted to double check that if for now I leave the rear switch unplugged I will still be able to get brake light function via the front switch alone. Thanks

You should be able too. The second switch was so you had lights if you blew a line.

when your testing pressure switches . to see if it's front or back not working . unplug one. test brake lights
plug back in and remove other plug . test brake lights
no brake lights at all . check fuse

There's a fuse for that? IIRC, there's 3 total fuses? I didn't think that was one of them?

Got my lights fixed. On my Jeep the connector on the front switch had corroded. I soldered on a new connector and took a wire brush wheel to the switch contacts. We're back in business. Unlikely I'll touch the rear switch.

That seems to be pretty common. Glad you got that solved.
