    Amazing that there are still deals like this out there.
    Makes me proud to be an American reading about enthusist finding such a treasure.

    I totally agree .... Don't paint it, that would "ruin" the value of what you have found.
    Buffing out the paint.... like you are doing, and repairing mechanicals with OEM parts would be wise investment. Also gathering any parts to make the restoration easier for someone will pay big dividends.

    This pink Surrey just sold at Barrett Jackson last week for 77,000 + buyers premium.

    Although belonging to comedian Red Skelton probably added to collectibility.

    The surrey crowd is a whole separate sub-culture. Find them and you will be worshiped.
    Barn finds are still out there. We sure used to make a lot of stuff in the USA.

    I had a barn find this weekend. 46 cj2a split window with motor locked up better pictures later... stil has framing for old top. And all the original 6X16 tires had to use old trail tires to move onto wagon..
