Just curious if anyone is running wrangler springs under axle? I know they make a bolt on kit to do it, but it is heavy. Seems like it would be just as easy to weld on new hangers.

Also any idea of how much lift they would give? I've heard around 3". I really don't want to go SOA because of how short and narrow the Jeep is. I would rather use 2.5" wrangler springs under axle.

I have wrangler 4" lift springs with a spring under set up. Lift is as advertised for spring. I also did a shackel reversal at the same time, I like how it rides now you can actually feel the springs move when you drive the jeep now. I used Rancho 9000 shocks because I was not sure about ride when I was done with the conversion, they work well for me. I used wrangler spring mounts and cut the old mounts off the frame, I had to do a little modification to the mounts to make them work though, strong and cheap, bought them new from the place that sold me the springs. Let me know if you need any other information.

I have what I believe are stock Wrangler springs SUA on my 66 frame, but hard to say about lift as I don't have the Jeep assembled. New hangers were welded on by the PO.
