Getting ready for an engine and trans swap and want some input. 350 buick and a 700r4 going in maybe and 225 and t14 coming out (sm420 went to another prodject). I have heard that the front shaft does not clear the 700r4 pan well and can cause problems. I am sitting on a spring over lift and exhaust will be built after swap. Also I already eliminated the weak 2 part shaft when I put in the D44 front and will have it replaced anyway. Have a motor and trans back at the farm ready to go. Have been through motor swaps before and know about the radiator, adapter, and little headaches. Mainly wondering about the 700r4 clearances. Any thoughts?????????

Doing a 4l60e currently. Drivers drop NP241 because pan clearance and no adapter needed. Had to dog leg frame to fit case. Craigslist Denver had a 700r4 to D18/20 adapter a while back.
