71 Renegade II needs Springs

    I have a broken rear spring on my jeep. Do any of you guys know where to get an original set? sposed to be the "heavy duty" springs whatever that means?? Thanks Orangeaid

    Hi orangeaid,

    Count the # of layers in your rear springs. Not positive, but Krage has a very competitive price on rear springs. My hunch is that 9-layers are the "heavy duty" as Krage offers:

    sound be 11 leaves if still oem. rancho(?) makes 1" lift springs might be an opition.

    HD springs at that time were either 12 and 13 leaves depending on whether they were used in the front or rear. You'll have a tough time finding a direct replacement unless you want to pay big $. There are plenty of capable aftermarket replacements though.
