`69 plow jeep. former trencher

Had no front brakes. Took it to work last week and bent up some new lines. I'll get more pics posted as work progresses

 

Got lucky and the master cyl was still good. The wheel cyl's where siezed up but managed to clean up one of them to reuse. Had to bend new s lines and replace the rubber lines and steel line to the right side. Bled the brown brake fluid out and now can see where the rear is leaking. Next summers project. Front brakes stop better than no brakes.
Planning on changing plugs and oils monday then trailering it back home

 

And does anyone know what vehicle to ask for when looking for a dully dana 70 rear axle brake parts? 1969 axle

 

Think a ford 350 is my best bet. Just need to take stuff apart and I decided today that, that is a job better suited to the spring when I have more time and money...

...drove around a little at work and need to try beeding out some more air I think. Compression was 120 on all 4. The back 2 cylinders looked pretty wet (oil) when I had the plugs out so hoping its just the valve seals. It smokes pretty bad

 

Yes. Dual mc. We tried looking up stuff at carquest the other day and pretty much decided parts are available, just have to pull them to match.
Just a lot more work and time involved right now. I don't want it to drag out since I need this jeep to plow.

I did drain and refill both diffs yesterday. There went one whole gallon of 90 weight. Engine oil tomorrow and trans. Hope to bleed brakes a little more too. Had to pick up my daughter from school early today

 

Here's 2 of the pto that was on it. Looks like some kind of bronze or brass sleeve that bolts around the pto for the pivot points. The pto would drive a hydrolic pump in back and the hydrolics would then have a second shaft driving that gear attached. It was moved over by levers on outside of drivers door. The gear moves over and engages a ring gear welded to the parking brake drum. Transfercase would be in neutral and hydrolics would move the jeep along by the parking brake drum.
Took this off to givee back to my uncle. I got the jeep. He gets to sell this8)

 

Here's the jeep without the dually tires and flares. Had to take them off to get it on the trailer. Ill be putting them back on soon now that its home

 

I would think it is. The 11 leaf spring pack is pretty solid though. Haven't played around with it too much off road yet.
