4x4 indicator switch

    Why just hook a 12v+ on the switch and right into the indicator light?

    Wiring it per your statement, would mean the light would be on all the time, except when in 4H or 4L. When the ball on the end of the switch drops into a detent the circuit is broken. i.e. the light goes out.

    But the switch is " normaly open " so circuit is close when the ball is push. Mine is hooked with a 12+ and the light goes on only on 4h or 4l.
