IMG_2698.jpeg I think the heater delete panel goes on the outside of the firewall. I’m probably not going to add a heater, and was thinking of putting the heater delete panel on the inside and mounting the fuse box to it.

Good idea? Bad idea? Neutral move?

I would add a second panel inside. You want the full panel on the engine side so it has less gunk buildup between the layers.

I agree with Jw60, before I replaced the firewall on my JEEP I had removed the heater and added a plate both inside and outside sandwiching the firewall, later I used that set up when I added swinging pedals.

The future mod of swinging pedals should definitely be considered. I had to extend several wires (like 20 of them) order to move my fuse box to the center of the firewall.

How much in the center? Dead center like over the tranny tunnel?

That’s about where mine is. You’ll be tempted to place it high and out of sight, I think I’d rather have it as low as possible to access the panel without being in the way of the shifters.

If you are moving it, I would put it in the engine compartment, under the hood. You are adding wire, what’s a few more feet
