I have read the tech page regarding the 11' swap. The question I have is will any CJ 11' drum work or does it need to be a 71-76? I have found some on e-bay, but they are off a 77.

    Thanks

Finned drums won't matter. Still fits the OEM Jeep wheels.

From '76 on, Jeep used the Corporate 20 (aka M20, AMC 20) rear axle, and its brakes won't work. So, front drum brakes from '76 on will work, but front disks were offered from '77 on, and became standard at some point, so not many of the late front drum vehicles around now.

X2 Backing plates off the Corp 20 will not work. But depending on what you have to pay for the set it would be worth it to follow the bid, just for the front brake setup.
