I have a 75 CJ5 and am curious if this came with a catalytic convertor? I have put on headers and suppose I would need two of them? I would just as soon not mess with it, but I don't know if they were original equipment.

I believe the 75 is the first year to use cats. Not positive though.

I know that here in GA they don't test cars over 25 years old and lots of folks exclude those kind of things on rebuilds, I know I am. Too much $$$.

I believe the V8s do ... each year's factory manual has a table of which devices apply to what models. I can check later.

The factory manual is a good investment, BTW. Just sayin'. :coffee:

This is the manual you want: http://www.bjsoffroad.com/prod-670.htm

These are great. There's a '74 and a '76 manual online at www.oljeep.com ... you can kinda make a '75 manual by looking at the wiring for '76 and at '74 for everything else. But that won't provide the emissions specs.

Notice that all V8 CJs require a catalytic convertor in 1975.
