So what, if anything, are folks using on top of the POR 15 on the frame???

I am looking at just leaving it alone, if there will not be any bad side effects from doing so.

Second choice is black epoxy rattle can.

    What say y'all???

I used POR15's chassis coat. My POR15 had cured for months before I applied the chassis coat, so I had to scuff it and prime it with their special primer. If the POR15 is fully cured very little will stick to it, so if you're going to topcoat it, do it quick.

Por 15 needs a topcoat or it will not stay looking nice. I'd topcoat it as per the directions from the manufacturer.

As above, POR15 breaks down in UV. I believe they have a chassis paint specifically for the frame.

Yup - I have friends that just used a good rattle can of tractor paint on it as well. But, you gotta cover it as it just falls apart in the sun.

Thanks for the replies, sounds like as long as the Jeep stays mostly on its wheels, the issue of sunlight on the frame is not a problem.

Bumpers, now that is another issue, so I think I will go with the rattle can epoxy.

Top coat it anyhow. If you don't you'll wish you did later.

Ya - It will peal and fade if you don't. Got to remember, it's not direct sunlight we are talking about. Unless it stays indoors out of the light your gonna want to paint it.

When the POR lifts ( and it will ) start using Master Series instead. Do a search.
