If yours is broken the best way is to pull it out and measure it. There was an update from Jeep that relocated the cable and did away with the bellcrank and Z bar and mounted the lower end of the cable to a bracket attached to the transfer case. I believe that would be the 83"cable if that's the case.

    I have one more question.

Whats it called the metal piece that holds the clutch cable to clutch pedal ?
It somewhat looks like a "U" type looking that holds the end of clutch cable to the pedal.

it's typically installed on the cable and comes with the cable
I don't recall it being sold seperatley, it's put on before the ball end is swaged on.

edit: if it's the threaded type, any hardare store will have threaded clevis ends in different sizes.

Yup, clevis. On Jeepster they also used one at the clutch pedal for adjustment. Should be easy enough to find if not let me know, should have a couple of those around here somewhere.

Yes it usally comes with cable (short cable) if you look at the link below (jeepsterman) the small length cable comes with it...But I use longer cable 83 inches and they don't come with it :-(
And the ones that come with it are permanently on....I need the one where I can hook the end of cable ball into it.

I was thinking it was the threaded style but I might have one of those too. I'll have a look and see what I can find.

If it's not the threaded/adjustable type, I may have a couple.
This clevis I think has a slot in the side to install the ball on the cable end.
    I'll check tomorrow.
    The Jeep p/n was: 948416

You know I have ordered exact same one from jeepsterman few days ago and as soon as I insatlled it and press down on clutch pedal
the piece at the end came right off (pedal wasn't that hard at all)
Lets see if this picture shows below.

you see on the left is new cable that piece came off. ( part that goes on thr floor)
On the right is the old one and you can see the difference...washer looks thicker and that part that broke off is really ON there on old one.
I'm trying to find the one that looks like the old one. (not sure how old it is)

Could it be that new cable I got few days ago is defected ?
That piece shouldn't come off that easy...
Or can this be fixed you think?

While not what you'd expect a brand new cable to do that piece really has no bearing on the performance of the cable, it is supposed the hold the cable up tight to the body. I'd still return it for another because ya, they're not supposed to pull apart like that. Now if it was that aluminum piece that had moved then I'd be really worried. It and that thin washer is what keeps the cable from pulling up through the floor. I'd check that also because Jeepsters are notorious for the hole getting over sized over time which is probably why the old cable had the large washer on it.
