    Might as well just pull the case, it's time for a rebuild. Parts are easy enough to find.

    Almost sounds like an output shaft err something. My case locked up when I shaved teeth off. Any way you shake it, it'll have to come out. Luck to you, sir.

    vote missing tooth also, could be intermediate gear, not that its makes too big a difference. bummer!

    Your right. It was the intermediate gear. It's missing two teeth. Easy fix. Now I just need to find one.

    2 teeth in a row or were they spaced apart? When mine spat teeth, the JEEP would move a few feet then, stop like it ran into a tree. I was, however, missing more than 2 teeth. It was more like 4 or 5 in a row. Anyhow, glad you found the problem.

    Scott, maybe you should give the replacement the cryogenic treatment. Next time mine comes apart, I'm going to give it a try.
