Speedometer cable for a 1959 CJ5 with optional T98 four speed ???

I am wondering if anyone knows where to find a speedometer cable for a 59 CJ5 that has an optional four speed T98 ? I can find the 3 speed cable...is it a different length for the four speed ? Thanks

Doesn't the speedometer cable connect to the transfer case?

The transfer case should be a dana 18.

I know Walck's carries speedometer cables. I just got one from them about a month ago.

T-96? I expect you mean T-98. The T-96 was a 3-speed transmission, and was never used in the CJ AFAIK.

The T-98 cable will probably be longer than the 3-speed cable, because of the additionl length needed to reach the transfer case.

Do you have the sheath? If so, I suggest you get a universal speedometer core replacement kit, and just replace the core.

Sorry...You are correct...I have a T98. I do have the sheath. I'll have to check out the kit you speak of.
