Does anyone have a pic or 2 of thier setup? I am finding out I cant use a standard saginaw power steering on my CJ5 with this Suzuki motor, i have to run the steering shaft above the frame rail. I would like to see how it fits since i dont have one.

    Thanks!!

Scouts are oddball and need the arm changed.
Believe Ford and the Toyota IFS boxes are very similar.
All the above will require a large chunk of grill to be removed, will multiple U-joints work around whatever is in the way?
Might also look into Herm's PS setup.

Dan, another option is the Saginaw C3 Vette box. It has a long neck so the pitman can move below the frame rail while the steering shaft runs directly above the rail. These are manual with the power steering provided by a control valve on the end of the drag link. The stock vette setup has the hydraulic assist cylinder also hooked to the drag link (and my current arrangement) but it could easily be moved to the axle and you could also use an aftermarket hydraulic assist cylinder. I have had to rebuild the control valve once and it started leaking not long after so then just bought a new one, but that's not too bad for 36 years of use. Sector is about 3.5 turns lock to lock. All pieces still available new.

Thanks for the pics. I would need to keep the box behind the grill and input above the fraem rail. Since the box would be inline with the frame rail i would need anything unusual ( at least in my mind) for the gear box to connect to the column. The ford could be an option. The scout box has the pitman arm forward as does the ford. I could do a yota but they are even more expensive, alot of yota guys look for the IFS boxes to swap into the early straight axle rigs.

I looked at the ford. It bolts to the insdie of the frame rail and the exhaust would be right in the way :(
