Cut firewall for steering column change?

    Thanks. That looks about right after I took some measurements and marked it off. I put a board up there as a proxy for the steering column and it comes in about there.

    Could I get one more measurement...where the red arrow is in this pic? Basically the bottom of the drip edge/hood gutter to the top of the master cylinder hole.

    You can see how the '74 looks quite a bit different where the master cylinder mounts...

    From the bottom of the hood drip rail to the top of the master cylinder hole is slightly less than 3 1/4 inches

    Thanks, I appreciate it. The 74 is about 4 3/4. All these measurements help put things into perspective.
