So today i fixed the wires going to the wiper motors and was woundering what have people done to be able to fold their winseilds flat, with the wires that run to the wiper motors. I've used the flat connectors and those worked till they got dirty and wet. I've thought about using those trailer conectors, but they are a little bulky. Any thoughts on this would help out.

I ran wires about the same size as the originals, extra long, and wrapped them tightly together, put heat shrink tubing around them, shrunk it, then pushed it thru the hole in the dash. When I lay the windshield down, I just pull out the length needed.

When I had the 71 it had the 3 wire flat trailer type connector on it. When I rewired it I used the 4 wire flat so I could run a direct ground wire in the fourth conductor. I used the 14 ga kit with trailer wire and connector included from the hitch department at the FLAPS. That gave me plenty of wire with no splices. It worked out fine.

Lamar's method sounds great as well. I am considering that method when I finish the wiring on the windshield of the CJ6. I rarely put the windshield down anyway.

That's the way it was done from the factory.

I've got a flat 4 position trailer connector on each side of the windshield. The one on the left is for the windshield wipers. The one on the right goes up to the radio speakers and the interior light (when I have a hard top on).

They seem to work great and don't seem too bulky to me.
