The tub? Hmmm...I know it takes me and one other guy to lift it and turn it over...so probably 250-300 lbs. Do you need exact?

Yep I have done it with 3 people and it was not heavy at all. So I would say under 300.

dont know about the tub itself, but the owner of a off-road shop told me that there is 500 lbs diferance between a metal body and a fiberglass body, thats with everything on it and drivable. He said he weighed them before and after the swap. hope this helps

    Re: tube weight?

I can move my CJ5 tub around by myself quite easily. I'm guessing it's no more than 300lbs. I have a very hard time believing a fiberglass tub is 500lbs lighter, if anything I'm guessing most fiberglass tubs are heavier than steel.

Well he did say a 500lb difference...the fiberglas is probably heavier...but 500lbs, really?

    Re: tube weight?

I am thinking he either was dealing with some super heavy fiberglass tub or he was doing the " it feels 500lbs heavier" test and not an actual number.

IT was with everything on it and drivable. he wanted to know the dif of his complete jeep with the swap. tires, windshield, seats, and so fourth. wasn't trying to imply tub weight. been about 10 years so I can't remember which was heavier. dont do business there anymore for good reasons, so he may have just been trying to sell me a body. My concerns where with the weight dif, and driving on the highway, CROSSWINDS

the tub gets alot heavier after it has had rhino lining installed on both the inside and underside of the tub and you are trying to not scratch the new paint job. then 3 people are nice to have :)

After I got mine painted, I used my cherry picker and a few nylon straps to get it back on by myself. Only minor touch up required.
