I have installed Warrior Product's U-bolt skid plates on my 73. I installed these when I installed my new 2 1/2" lift springs. My jeep is still a work in progress, so I haven't had a chance to drive it yet. Is anyone else running these spring plates? Are your shock angles different than stock? It appears the shock studs on the springs plates push the bottom of the shocks outward. So, the upper and lower shock studs are parrallel with the ground, but the shock is at an angle. Does anyone see a problem with this?

I put some on my 67 cj-5 several years ago and mine are the same as you describe yours. I have had no problem what so ever with mine.

I discarded the shock studs and used regular bolts with some big flat washers, and now my shocks are vertical.

Do you remember what all sizes of u-bolts you bought to use with the skid plates?

I have been running them for about two years and have not had any problem with the angle. The work just fine.
