    Hello,

I got the transfer case (though I still have a nut stuck on the front yolk) and the transmission case off. I unbolted six nuts on the transmission side of the flywheel but cannot get it to come off.

Do I need a puller of some sort, or am I just doing this wrong?

    Best,

    CK

Shiould just come off. Spray some pebetrating oil on it. It's probably been on there a while.

Put a couple of the bolts back in, loosely, and use a pry bar to gently break it loose. They fit kinda snug but you don't need a puller. The bolts keep it from hitting the floor when it comes off.

I just went through this. Left a couple bolts in and whacked it with a chunk of 2x4. Popped right off, this procedure was based on advice from the good folks on this forum.

All i know if its a v6 flywheel by all means dont drop it on your foot. Dang things way a ton. Mine slipped right off with a little application of the deadblow hammer like 2 wacks.
