I bought those to use on my M416. The lens is identical to the original CJ lens.

I too was in a tail light delemia.
The '74 I have had the older round ones that were crappy looking once I installed the fiberglass body.
I was at Pep Boys about to pick up a set ot "trailer lights", (same as the jeeps).
Then, I looked down and there were a set of OEM jeep lights. (The retangle jobbies) like $39.99.
Along side them were a set of LED lights that look EXACTLY like the jeep ones, but were like $19.99!:?
So I installed them. The reverse light is bright, the other lights nice and bright, plus LED are less draw on the electrical system.

These look pretty good - I presume the body is plastic? It'd be a little strange to have the built-in marker light and the factory side marker. But the price is certainly right.

Maybe you could do some surgery and remove the side marker ...

Certainly the side marker lens could be replaced with something else.

The issue I had when I purchased these is that the picture shows round lights and housing...the one that came had a square flange around the lens. It can (and will) be cut off to leave the round look to the lights as in the pic.

Yes, mine are plastic. Reflector could be installed down for those that already have sidemarkers. I do not.

I used the grote tail lights listed above, but added the "tractor Lights" with the rubber housing for back up lights,,, I removed the mounts that came with them, and bolted them through the fiberglass body.,,,, they work great for plowing when you need a lot of light in the back.. The only picture I had was when I took a pic to show a bat house project,,,,

I used boat trailer lights from the local Bi-mart. $6 each and they looked just like the broken ones that were already on the Jeep.
