I'm just figuring out the picture posting, sorry for the confusion. . .

Anyhow, I just finished the refurb on the Ventilating Windshield. I totally love it so far. . . while the sun is shining. The passenger side has a manual wiper. The blade is riveted on to the arm, and is shot. Does anyone know where/how a replacement can be found? I don't think it's the same as a CJ2A or MB/GPW handle setup, I think the blade is deeper. Also, I am trying to figure out the springloaded latch on the top of the windshield, is it to hold the hood open or to latch the windshield down? Also, what does the part that attatches to the hood look like and where can I get one? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

M38 Willys. . . I used to be stationed at Camp Lejeune. I think the Mosquito is North Carolina's State Bird!

the part that latch latches to on the hood is just a tall footman loop like the ones you have. there should be one tall and one short down the center of your hood. For the wiper i have taken a wiper rubber and shaved it down to fit in the old metal part.

That spring latch thingy you're asking about is to keep the hood up so it doesn't fall down and put a knot on your head. Or worse. Walck's 4WD should have the part for the hood, and nearly anything else you might need.

For the spring latch on the top of the windshield. After you get the tall footman loop installed on the hood, you need to turn the latch over so the release lever is pointed down. The latch mount is slotted for up/down adjustment. Properly adjusted, when the hood is raised it will automatically be latched.
