Under Driver Seat Storage Locker

Has anyone come up with an idea how to use the space under the driver's seat on a 1974 CJ5 as lockable storage space? If you have done this and have pictures I would greatly appreciate see them.

 

think you mean something like this found in the older Cjs

 

I have an extra heater under the driver's seat but this is what I built for the other side (glass body had no built-in tool box):


Welded 1/8" 5052 aluminum. Door is recessed to make breaking it open with a bar a bit more difficult, piano hinged at bottom, with rubber gasket. Hinge, lock, and gasket material were all McMaster-Carr items

 

well if your tool box is in decent shape then all you would have to do is add something like a mailbox/ tool box locking latch like you can get at any decent hardware store

 

Which would work if he had a toolbox under the DRIVER'S seat, which is what he's asking about.

 

I am looking to add MORE lockable storage.
