    FYI

I asked several months ago if anyone had considered dodge dakota springs as a replacement option. I asked that question but didnt get a response. The reason I asked was after doing a little research on the "general Spring" website I compared EVERY spring they offered for every make of car truck and jeep. The dodge dakota was the closest. It is the exact same length and is only off 1 inch on the center pin to the rear. Also if you are a little picky you can pick your spring rate. with choices like 1100, 1200, 1800, 2250, 2500lbs and different leaf numbers as well it is easy to tailer them to your needs.
So I went out and found a good used set and brought them home. The springs are perfect for length, they have 1 1/2" more arch then the worn out stock multi leaves i have. And if the 1 inch center pin difference bothers you then you can change that in the axle mount. Also because of the arch the pin is actually only off by about 5/8".

The springs should hold up much better than the stock springs and carry more weight like tire carriers, highlifts, jerry cans ect...

I will be using the set for my next build this winter with one tone axles

I'm assuming the centerpin is farther back (towards the rear bumper) on the Dakota springs, right?

anything from 86 to 04 will work. Different models have different spring rates. And yes farther to the rear

Thanks for the info, my Jeepster rear main leaf is thick and doesn't flex very well. A guy on our local forum put Dakota leafs under his LJ, so I took some pics of my '04 Dakota flexing. Thought you might like to see what a stocker can do.
