heater hose size

    I have a 74 CJ-5 232. I installed a heater out of another 74 Cj junker. both are stock CJ's. It seems the heater core connection is 5/8, but the engine connection is 3/4. Has anyone run into this before? I guess I will make up reducers to use on the hoses.

    You can buy the reducer at PepBoys etc.

    I had the same issue. It's a Jeep thing.

    I keep say that someday I'll solder up a 5/8" to 3/4" fitting to the heater core. I haven't done it but I can't see why it wouldn't work and it would make things easier and cleaner.
