OK, I got an Fhead, and a domed oil bath air cleaner. But, none of the holes on my fire wall match up to the four on the air cleaner. Anybody got a fire wall pic showing the air filter mounted?

    thanks!

You realize that the filter mounts to a bracket that attaches to the firewall right?

I'm thinking that on your year the filter mounts on the fender.

Theotherjimmy: Yeah, a bracket could be missing.

Glenn: I didn't think these boxes mounted to the fenders.

    On my '64 CJ5

Here's a pic of the Firewall side of my Oil Bath aircleaner:

Here's a pic of the firewall mounting holes:

The two holes to the right under Driver are for the external voltage regulator:

Is your battery tray mounted on the firewall? Do any holes on the fender match the air cleaner mounting? It's been years since I've seen under the hood of a late '60s CJ5.

that's exactly what mine looks like, and how I figured it'd mount. I only have the two upper holes for the brackets, I'll need to drill a couple more.

    THANKS!

I bet the two upper holes might be enough.

    You're welcome, no problem!:stout:
