anyone make a radio mount for Under dash Cj2A

    Lookiing to install a radio in my 48 CJ2 but want to mount it under the dash, does anyone sell or make a bracket for this?

    I got mine at a stereo shop....the kind that cater to the auto audio
    it's abs plastic and I secured it to the underside of my dash then supported in the rear..........works great and cost #20 I think

    mine doesnt have a glovebox, but that would be my preference if there was one for sure

    I'm not suggesting you do this, but my grandfather had cut a bunch of holes in his dash just under the grab bar. They were for the snow plow controls. I took the snow plow off, so I just made them one big hole and installed a radio.

    Look at the glove box door on the WWII era MB/GPW's. They have basically the same dash as the CJ2A. These are readily available from Military Jeep parts suppliers, as new-repro (g503, Walcks & etc.). I may have a used one somewhere??? You will have to relocate the data plates and fab some type of box behind the door to hold the radio or buy the OEM box to go behind the door.
    Good Luck.

    PS...If you have a heater under the dash on the pass side, it would interfere with a glove box.
