Hi again guys, have another one I hope someone can help me with. On my new (reman) 231 block there are two treaded holes witch are'nt on my old block. They are right between the frost-plugs on each side, does anyone have a suggestion on what they might have been meant for? Here comes pics: :)

You can plug those or screw in a coolant temperature sending unit.

The one right between the freeze plugs is a block drain.

:iagree: and they should have been pluged from the rebuilder. only reason i can think they were not, is if a certain application required them for something else. some small block chevrolets used it for the knock sensor on newer engines, but only one side to the best of my knowledge.
