My 1968 FSM says early models had 9" and late models had 10". No dates. I think dual master cylinders were mandated in 1967 so that may be a turning point. Manual says DJ's only had 9" brakes.

I have a 63 also with 10" brakes front and rear. I recently had an issue buying brake pads and wheel cyls at napa. I had better luck at carquest. Just an fyi.

Dual M/C came in '68. All the V6 CJ's had 10", so '66-'71. Not sure about the F head.

the guy at the Jeep shop around here say that all v6 jeeps came with 10 inch brakes, so a 66 with 10 inch would not be unusual. I think though the 4 poppers still had9 inch.
I cannot answer this, I have several books on CJs but the brake upgrade seems to be a grey area
