hey all, new to this forum, I've been around on some of the other Commando forums. I'm finally starting to get around to working on my 72 Commando, and after I order a new wiring harness for it, I plan on revamping the switches inside the dash. Since money's tight right now, I won't be able to afford to replace the switch assy, so I was thinking about using stock parts off a junked vehicle, for the lights, wipers, fan, defrost, and heat....anyone have any ideas of what vehicles would be the easiest to pull parts off of to make this work?

I know a lot of guys have used a lot of different aftermarket switch set ups but can't recall any one that's found one vehicle that supplied all the switches that would work on our Jeeps. Pretty much hit and miss finding something that will work and look half decent.
Jeepdog as mentioned, or Mark Vilbert at Justjeepsters.com as well eBay is good place to look for original used and sometimes NOS switches. Or like some of us, part out a pile of Jeepsters and Commandos and save every part you can :).
