Can Anyone tell me anything about The Kaiser supersonic head. I have a f134 with this head on it and I have not seen this head mentioned in My service manual. Everything I see in it has the head with a valve cover on it. Hope this doesn't sound to stupid!!!!!

If you don't have a valve cover, you might have a L-head (Go-Devil) instead of an F-head (Hurricane). Do you have a picture?

I seen some old advertisements for performance Go-Devil cylinder heads, it might be one of these.

If it really is a Supersonic L-6 then you might have an early engine conversion, with 6 cylinder pick-up/wagon motor.

Huh. I was going to write that the only Supersonic heads I knew of were on L-heads, not F-heads. There it is - an L-head. If it's a CJ-5, it's not the original motor.

Yep. Also known as a flat head, with both valves in the block. Came from Kaiser car most likely, as bourgogne pointed out. It'll work fine, except it has fewer horsepower than the stock F-head.

Yep. Looks like it. Might be a kaiser transplant, looks like Kaiser used the L-head 4s and 6s in Kaiser manhattans etc. Just renamed them supersonics.

since L heads and F heads are both mentioned in this post, and to clarify what I am reading, let me say that the head gaskets for L and F are DIFFERENT: L gasket for L; F gasket for F
