general gasket sealant question - F-head water pump

    Hi all,

    OK so I am about to install the water pump on my '58 F head and would like opinions on what sealer folks would use. Pretty sure "do not install it dry" is standard, but any opinions?

    Yeah I know its pretty much the same stuff, just figured it might be a little more coolant resistant....

    Might be. Besides, it says "water pump" right on the package.:D

    Exactly my thinking....its the reason I bought it when doing the water pump on the WJ a few weeks ago :D
