Is there such a thing as overtravel in a clutch? when I push the pedal the final third of the way, the tub either flexes or lifts, im not sure which. Either way, after driving it around the block my leg is shaking. I've driven many vehicles with manual trans. and this has never happened. The best way i can describe it (excuse my non technical language) is that the lever coming out of the bell housing reaches its limit and transfers all the energy back up the linkage and rods to the pedal hanger. This causes the tub to lift or flex. I am guessing that i can turn the nut on either the rod from the pedal or the rod that pushes on the bell housing lever. Can you all help a newbie out? :flag:

I pride myself that I can sit through an entire light while keeping my clutch depressed... it has always taken a big old man leg to use. I recently installed a hydro and it is still hard to press (the same). I went through some trial and error adjusting and I could hear the clutch change sound when it was wrong and found where I thought was a perfect spot using this.

You ought to replace some body mounts if you are lifting the body, I had the same problem. Check the front triangle shaped ones below the firewall. Your probably loosing what very little advantage you have with your sloppy body.

just replaced body mounts. Tore her down and am putting her back together again. My kit only came with 14 mounts, all the same height. the only one by the firewall is where the bodymount is outside the frame. Not counting the one for the radiator, I have four on the pass. side and 3 on the drivers side (missing mount above LR tire). I am also missing the 2 in the middle rear of the tub/bumper. I figured the clutch problem was due to the fact that I only had 3 body mounts before and I was missing the drivers side by the clutch linkage.
