'78 dana 30 front i.d. tag info

    anyone have info on tag info on front rear ,dana 30 tag reads - 5356101 3 54 46 . before i have to r+i rear cover for gear ratio ,figured maybe someone can decode tag

    5356101 is a Jeep PN - I'll look it up.

    You are missing a number. The 3.54 is the axle ratio, standard for that year. I'm guessing the other number is a 13, with 46 13 -> 46/13 = 3.54, the tooth counts on the ring and pinion resp.
