When I had my 3A with a 231 I used the pedal out of some mid 70's GM that ran the V6

Hello, In the old days we would take the throttle bracket off the back of the stock four cylinder engine. Turn it around and bolt it to the firewall so it would hook up with the stock gas pedal, and then run a throttle rod to the V6 carb. It was simple, used stock Jeep parts, and worked great. Hope you can figure it out from what I said.

I used a pedal from a 94' Nissan Sentra and a cable from a full size Chevy puck up.

Lots of different cars use the suspended pedal with a cable, as scott milliner shows above. Junkyard item. The suspended accelerator cable is supposed to be safer... I suspect the cable is less likely to jam than a hard linkage. Plus cables are easy to adapt, with no alignment issues.

This is the last version I made for the 3B, complete with dog hair and dirt and not very good photos. Pivot block is just milled bar stock with bronze bushing with two through bolts and one blind tapped hole from firewall (3 point mount). Bell crank was cut from 1/2 plate and is slotted on the upper end to allow throw adjustment. Rod to throttle body is 1/4 aluminum rod and uses bronzed bushed bearing ends. The actual gas peddle floats on urethane roller on the bottom end of bell crank. I used a CJ5 peddle for 25 years but this one is much less sensitive to extraneous off road bumps, not that that is ever a problem in a flat fender.
